That's cute. See the bird returning. Nice photos and a blog. Greetings from Bohemia. Peter.
I always love to watch our Gold Finch sit on the flower heads and pick at the seeds. We have lots of them because it is the state bird of Iowa! Early this summer we had the babies visiting---so cute. Wonderful shot!

So sweet! I love watching the finches at my feeders, the are so pretty in the summer, yet dull in the winter! Great pictures.
WOW!. That is an amazing shot. Yes it is a finch, but that is so close and personal, I think you had better introduce yourselves.
Wonderful shot! What a cute little guy!
It's a goldfinch all right. :)

Very cute bird, good thing it didn't hit the window!
Wonderful Goldfinch shot! Here in Missouri, the natives also call them Wild Canaries. You're probably right about it being a youngster, as they are born later than many birds to coincide with the ripening of the seeds they feed on.
Thanks for stopping by to see my wildflowers of Sweden. A lovely images of this cute finch... Sometimes the sparrows come to my kitchen window as if to say, where is the food? They only seem to do it when my feeders are empty!
Wonderful details you've captured. It does look like a gold finch to me.
It's a cute little bird and you captured it beautifully.
