Vintage Thingies Thursday: Barn

It's Vintage Thingies Thursday once again and my contribution for this week is this Old dilapidated Barn.  I don't know if this is appropriate to post or not but I found this barn along the road and I know for sure this is truly vintage. In the Philippines I haven't seen a barn it's only here in the US that I find many nice well kept barn and some are not. My DH family had still their barn for years and the kept it nice. And by keeping it nice  it takes a lot of money too. And this one  is different I guess the passed owner of the property are all gone now and the one who owned the property didn't care of the barn itself. But what fascinate me when I see barns is,  how many people that come and go in that barn, how many cows they've milk every day, how many bales of hay they put inside, how many kids loves to play inside playing hide and seek and Grandpa or Grandma will only holler not to jump around the hay, and the list goes on and on. I don't  have barn stories but hubby and his family shared a lot of funny stories about farming and barns. That's why when I see one it makes me wonder if all barns has good stories to tell.

Poor barn--I feel sorry for it.

You captured it splendid. Very old and the snow makes it look even more run down

Most all old barns or houses could tell us a lot of interesting tales if they could talk. This one is very interesting. I love old buildings and have some oil paintings of them.

I love old barns! My grandparents had a barn. My aunt and uncle now live there, and when I visit them, I have to go and see and smell the old barn!
Happy VTT!

Old Barns are a favorite of Painters and Photographers everywhere. They have such character and like your Husbands Family, they do have stories to tell. My Mom was raised on a farm in Iowa, and this picture brings back memories of visits there. We have barns in Texas too, and I've enjoyed photographing and painting a few. This is my first VTT and I hope you'll have a chance to stop by and see my Head Vases.

I, too, wonder what stories these abandoned barns and farm houses might tell. Why did the people come and why did they leave.

Thanks for dropping by ...bayad muna ako ng bill. tapos balik uli ako dito. cute naman ng shed na ito.

They call it shed here in Ozzieland. Barn sa Americans. Sa amin naman payag at sa inyo dampa. Ewan ko ba, nalilito na ako.

What a fun post. I guess we just take barns for granted. Thanks for making me think of them in a different way.

I don't think I want to go to a barn dance at this time. You will have to jiggle all the time to keep warm.
