Solanus Casey Center

I like visiting monasteries. One that hubby and I visited was the St. Bonaventure Monastery where Fr. Solanus Casey is buried. The place is very quiet and serene the place I like to take time to pray and reflect. I also take noticed of the signs inside the monastery..

Fr. Solanus Casey comes from Wisonsin.

I so wish I did take the photo of the English interpretation of this sign.

Sounds like a wonderful place to retreat.

I grew up in northwest Indiana and remember a Capuchin monk assisting at our masses (when I was a youth). I would imagine he came from St. Bonaventure monastery.

I have always wanted to go to a retreat at a convent or a monastery, but have never made it. This one looks like a lovely place to go and meditate. Maybe next week you can repost and put up the English signs. That would be nice. genie

I have never been to a monastery - in fact I wouldn't even know where on is around here.
