This is an old cemetery. But even before there are really people who can elaborately make their grave site fancy. My first time to see a fence around tombstones.

I can't help but wonder who was buried there...to have such special treatment.
It almost looks like tassels and chains. Elaborate wrought iron fences around family plots are quite common in old cemeteries in the South and here in East Texas where I live. I have pictures of several. Haven't thought about them as "fences" before. Thanks for the tip!
One of the most lovely fences I have ever seen around a cemetery plot! I just love it!
I love walking through old cemeteries and taking photos! This is a great picture!
A really lovely fence and a great photo.
I have discovered a lot of fences around sections in old cemeteries - this one is very pretty! And very elaborate! Nice shot.
Amazing to see the tassels and chains incorporated into the fence design... a great find!
oh, wow... what a lovely fence. very honorable. i love old cemeteries. so pretty. (:
Cemeteries are great places for photography, like this one. I wonder if the small fences marked a family plot? Regardless, this is a great shot and I like the understated editing you've done.
My guess is the same as Faye...must be a family plot! Nice shot!
What a wonderful fence...this person must have been well loved. Great photo!
I don't think I've ever seen a cemetery fence like this one- with chains. Nice pic!
Beautiful photo.
Regards and best wishes
Wow,what a beautiful fence! Love the shot!
that's a beautiful fence,
I've never seen a fence like this before in a cemetery!
So we fence our properties in life and in death too! :)
Beautiful fence.
An interesting photo, fences like this or similar are not that unusual in Europe. Thankyou so much for your recent visit and lovely comment on my photography blog which is much appreciated.
I'm Orthodox Christian and my church's cemetary has many old plots that are fenced. Many also have stone benches at the corners. It's actually quite beautiful. Now that we have perpetual care, and individual families are not fully responsible for caring for a plot, they have requested that fences no longer be erected and some have been taken down. Too bad but it is a sign of the times.
Great fence. I like this photo very much. Thanks for visiting my blog.
