Hibiscus Up Close

This is my second time I planted Hibiscus or Gumamela flower. This pink hibiscus which I just planted two weeks ago is the favorite of Japanese beetle. Though many flowers are blossoming but because the Japanese beetle likes to munch the leaves and flower when it is open the flowers are deformed or has holes. The other day I try to find a decent flower and took photos.

Beautiful studies-especially since you had to patiently find a bloom that hadn't been taste-tested by the japanese beetles. My favorite is the bud.
