I have seen Japanese Beetle a lot this year. I have not put a lot of attention on this insect last few years but this year they are every where eating my flowers and vegetables. And to get rid of them I spray insecticides and it stops them from ruining the beauty of my flowers.

Stunning photos!
They are beautiful, but they are bad for roses.
Oh, yes. I have them eating my flowers. Love the shimmering colors, but not fond of them in the garden.

Beautiful macro pictures you show :)

Hi there - I think you may be wise to look at the insects more and spray them a little less! Sorry, but that’s the way I feel.
That’s a great picture by the way.

PS: did you know that 25% of all know animals are beetles!
The last shot is simply gorgeous! The mating of two beetles
Nice shots!
They are beautiful with their bright metallic colors, but I'm sorry they are eating your flowers.
Oh yes the Japanese beetle. They have eaten all my beautiful roses. I don't put out beetle traps, because I think it attracts more.
I think the Thistle is what the Goldfinchs eat. Another gorgeous lavender color.
Have a happy week, and thanks for stopping by.
Oh wow! Your photography is larruping wonderful!!! I have never seen these beetles. They look colorful but I bet they are pests!
Wonderful photos! I used to see Japanese Beetles a lot, but fortunately haven;t seen one in quite some time. They are pretty, even though they are terrible munchers!
