Buy Local

Twenty one more days to go and it will be spring. I am thinking of starting to plant the seeds that I collected last year. I am planning to start an herb garden and do a makeover on my flower garden. Just thinking about all the work it seems that I already feel tired and when spring came that means it is vacation time. Hubby ask me where I like to go, I have several out of state favorites but I am more into local tourism just like what buy local means. Every time hubby and I go for a weekend getaway I see to it to check the local stores. One time we went to the thumb part of Michigan and it was my first time to visit the place. When we arrived at the quaint small town hubby told me that when he was young they used to visit the place for an ice cream. He hopes that the store was still there and there it was in the same place it was situated years ago. So we went inside and hubby told me it was the same place and we ordered ice cream in different flavors. The ice cream is really delicious. It does not the same ice cream that we bought in the store. It is in that scenario that if we local support American jobs our economy would not dwindle again. The thing with us people is that it is easy for us to buy foreign and do not mind what is local. Last year I found out that in the south part of Michigan there is this Lavender farm and I do not know about this place. I do not think that everybody know this place including my relatives and friends. This time I bow myself to tell my relatives and friends to tell them what town and places here in our state that is worth visiting for. Besides we love to travel around state and of course shop till we drop is our motto.  The other day I was driving in the highway and saw this sticker it says buy local, support American jobs ! Which I so agree!!

Hi Kim! I totally agree with you. We need to support our communities and more and more I am realizing that local fresh food it the best way to go to.
