Friday my Town Shoot-Out~ Smell/Taste

In the Philippines we are used to eat this dried pusit or dried squid. We fry it or grill. When I cook this one I have to cook it outside (grin) because it will stink the whole house!! I know you can't smell it here so you can't imagine stinky it is lol! But here is my DH's description " it smells like a used sock" ewww!

Uncooked dried squid..smells ewww ^_^

fried dried squid, taste like salty cracker

My pink and white peonies. I missed there sweet smell.

I am not a dessert person but when I saw this strawberry/blueberry pie I knew I have  to try it. Ain't so pretty looking pie? And it taste so good too!

When my mum was [regnant with my 6th sibling, she had a craving for your BBQ squid. We squatted downstairs while she BBQ over a small wood fire. Then we pounded it, and dip it is a sweet chilli sauce. I was 4 years old. We squatted and sat or rather sucked the sauce.

Thanks for great memories.

I think I would like the squid, except for the smell of course!

Those peonies are beautiful. I love all types of flowers.

Dried squid and dried octopus really really smell big-time! My son brought some back from Japan, and I didn't know what to do with it! I guess I do now, starting with taking it outside when you open the bag!

Strange how some foods that taste so good, smell so bad before and during cooking. For me it would be best to leave the cooking to someone else!
Really enjoyed your smells.

I know that stinking smell, but I don't mine since they are so delicious! I like to cook the dried squid in chilli, but they need to be soaked overnight to soften it.

I'm sorry Jama, but your photos of the squid made me wince. Ewww! I have a weak stomach and my taste buds don't like seafood. The smell is really a turn off. I'm glad you put some photos of the flowers in there to replace the awful image of the squid.

I'm with Pauline, I like trying new taste but the foods are best left to the experts to cook. I love boiled shrimp - but never get them because Camillo can't stand the smell. course he doesn't like the smell of popcorn either - what does that tell you....

I will have to go look in the 'oriental stores' here to see if I can find this squid. Grilled sounds good to me!

Society is fluid and mobile, allowing someone that can't find be employed in Michigan to pull up stakes and move bad credit loans while many finance experts will tell you this is probably the most important comparison point, it's only 1 comparison point.

By washing make use of the bar of soap, brushing, or playing with your pet, not only will
their health and happiness levels go up, but so will your bank account online cash advances every time you obtain a lump sum of money or have any money remaining,
you may deposit it to your mortgage account, reducing the principal
