It's the last week of VTT for 2009, I can't help but had to post my last entry for this year though I am kind of busy but VTT has to be first before all the errands ^_^ This YOKE is hanging on the wall where hubby and I used to eat brunch every Tuesday. Way back in the Philippines where I come from many farmers still used a yoke specially those farmer who are farming in the rice field. Because the rice field is watery, wet and muddy I guess no machine could till that land it will get stuck. But I don't know here in the USA if some people still use a yoke since I noticed every farmers has their own tractors. I don't know how old this yoke is but I guess this is pretty vintage.
Yes, this yolk is very vintage. These were used many years back before moderation stepped in. I still see them in antique places, but they are not longer used. Brought back some vintage memories.

I think they are still used in the far east, there is a lot done with manual labor that we in the west see only machines doing. Very cool for me to see I was a farmer's daughter!
