Sepia Scene: Snow

Here is my entry for this Wednesday's Sepia scene. But oh no guys we don't have snow yet here in MI we are not praying for it because for now we are experiencing the what we call "Indian summer" which is really nice. When I find this photo I was curious if it turns out good because from snow white to sepia color. But voila after changing the color it was wonderful to look at but how come my sepia is a little bit reddish please tell me. I change the color with the help of photobucket.

That is very pretty. I like the snow and yet am not ready for it.
My sepia color usually turns very yellow . I think it is because of what the original is ---maybe??? MB

Good morning Manang and thank you for your visit to my blog. I love the sepia effect on snow. It makes a cold blue world feel almost pinkish brown. I really like the banner on your blog as well. What a lovely place to sit quietly and read.

Sepia is perfect for snow. The glare of the snow is softened somewhat in sepia, the slight bronze hue making for a soothing sight. Even the cold snow feels a bit warmer!

What beautiful blushing snow on those branches. Was this taken in winter of early spring? Its a definite reminder of what we have to look forward to in the next month or so. But then when Christmas is here we'll all want the snow too.
I think if you were to pick a blue or more yellow color to filter your sepia through rather than a red tone you might be happier with it. There should be a color filter choice on any photo editing you're using. I use www.picnik.com and highly recomend it if you find you don't like the one you are currently using.
